Today, search engines like Google love Squidoo. Yet the death of Squidoo marketing may be coming.
Why? Read on and find out.
First, what is Squidoo? Perhaps you could define it as a blog on steroids. With most blogs you have to start from the bottom and work your way up Google’s proverbial ladder. Because of Squidoo’s popularity you start ahead of the rest of your competitors by creating Squidoo lenses compared to your own blog site.
Less you think I am calling Squidoo a blog site, let me clarify hear and now that I am not. Blogs require multiple pages from a single source whereas a lens is a single source that stands on its own. You could link several Squidoo lenses together so they become one entity but they are still separate single sources.
Since Squidoo is popular with search engines like Google and building a lens is easier than building a blog, why is it that Squidoo may be coming to its own demise? Bare in mind, this is a personal opinion from having used their service.
Bottom line: Creating a Squidoo lens is simply to complicated for the average person.
Especially when there are other easier systems available to use which the search engines rank at about the same value. Options like…
Are article suppositories that pay people in various ways for the articles that they submit to their services. There is no need to add this or tweak that, just add your article and let the power of Google do the rest.
This can become quite fruitful if you properly SEO your article ahead of time.
However, I must admit that my own favorite Squidoo alternative is none of the above. Instead of Squidoo I use another site that is equally favored by the search engines, easier to put together and in many ways similar to Squidoo.
What’s the name of it?
In my opinion it really is better than Squidoo. Will this fact lead to the death of squidoo marketing? You decide. For me the answer is yes.
